Author Frank Baker Honored at Anne Frank Awards 2026 Ceremony
Recipient of the Leadership in Arts and Letters Award
I wrote “We Survived The Holocaust: The Bluma and Felix Goldberg Story”: I never expected the kind of recognition I just received. On Monday evening. February 9, The Anne Frank Center (at the University of South Carolina campus and only one of three in the world) held its bi-annual awards ceremony. I sat in awe as teachers and students, not just from South Carolina, were recognized and feted. Ronald Leopold, the head of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam was present to receive the award for Outstanding Stewardship of Anne’s Legacy. Late last year. I was informed that I would be the first recipient of the Anne Frank Award for Leadership in Arts and Letters. I’m still overwhelmed. A huge thanks to family and friends who came out to support and celebrate the Center’s continued education mission.
