26\u00a0 I really enjoyed meeting lots of educators at the Northeast Media Literacy Conference at the
\nUniversity of Connecticut in Storrs. My morning keynote pointed to the importance of critical thinking
\nin the nation’s standards and the many references to media literacy in the documents which highlight
\nthose skills young people need for 21st century learning. Later, I conducted two hands-on workshops,
\ndesigned to showcase ways media literacy can be incorporated into instruction.<\/p>\n

\nI enjoyed meeting lots of new media specialists who are interested in incorporating media literacy into
