2026 will mark 13 years since I first embarked on an effort to get a publisher interested in creating a book for young people about the Great Blue Heron– a bird whose life cycle I have documented via my photography.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

No one expressed an interest.\u00a0 Until NOW…<\/p>\n

I’m most proud to announce that I have signed a contract to write a nonfiction, science-oriented book for young people about the Great Blue Heron<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It will feature full color photos that I’ve captured over the years documenting the life cycle of the GBH.<\/p>\n

The book will be released by Columbia- based Lucky Rabbit Publishing<\/a>— specializing in children’s books.<\/p>\n

The tentative title is: “Discover the Science, Habits, and Habitat of North America\u2019s Largest Heron”<\/p>\n

Their CEO is Annette Flavel. Look for updates throughout the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
