{"id":33196,"date":"2023-02-03T17:43:36","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T22:43:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.frankwbaker.com\/mlc\/?page_id=33196"},"modified":"2023-12-07T10:07:23","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T15:07:23","slug":"holocaust-strategies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.frankwbaker.com\/mlc\/holocaust-strategies\/","title":{"rendered":"Holocaust Strategies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Strategies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Strategy: Cause\/Event\/Effect Statements<\/u><\/p>\n<p>This strategy helps students analyze evidence surrounding an event.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place an event statement in the center of a page.<\/li>\n<li>Jot notes above the statement on what caused or led up to that event.<\/li>\n<li>Jot notes below the statement on the effect\/what happened as a result of that event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<p>Causes: jot notes providing causes\/ what led up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Event Statement: Pearl Harbor was bombed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Effects: jot notes providing what happened as a result of the bombing of Pearl Harbor<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Strategy: Go To Your Corner<\/u><\/p>\n<p>This strategy allows students to look at more than one option in answering a question or more than one example of an element of writing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A question, quote, word, illustration, piece of work, etc. is placed in each corner of the room.<\/li>\n<li>A question is given to students. (For ex., which word best describes the main character?
