MOVIE POSTER The movie poster i<\/title><\/p>\n<\/head><\/p>\n<body><\/p>\nMOVIE POSTER<\/p>\n<\/b>The movie poster is one of the major ways used to promote and market<\/p>\na film. Much time, effort and money is spent on its design. <\/p>\nThe poster is distributed and displayed at movie theatres around<\/p>\nthe world. Elements of the poster may also appear in newspaper and<\/p>\nmagazine advertisements for the film.<\/p>\nPresented below are a few of the posters developed for the 1963 release<\/p>\nof the Universal Pictures production of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.<\/font><\/p>\nFor each poster, students could consider any <\/p>\none of the following questions:<\/p>\n <\/font><\/p>\n– who\/what is portrayed in the poster(s)? <\/p>\nwho\/what is not? why?<\/p>\n– consider the layout and all of the elements in it<\/p>\n– what impact, if any, does color have?<\/p>\n– what meaning is conveyed by the scene(s) depicted?<\/p>\n– what reference(s) is made to the novel? why?<\/p>\n– how have movie posters changed from 1963 to present day?<\/p>\n– If the movie was rated, what rating might you give it? why?<\/p>\n– if you were designing a modern day poster for TKAM, what elements might it <\/p>\ninclude?
