\u2022 Read, view, and interpret texts and performances in every medium (e.g., short stories, novels, plays, film and video productions, poems, and essays) from a wide variety of authors, subjects, and genres
\n\u2022 Compare a film, video, or stage version of a literary work with the written version<\/p>\n

Standard 3: Students will read, write, listen, and speak for\u00a0critical analysis and evaluation.
\n\u2022 Recognize how language and illustrations are used to persuade in printed and filmed advertisements, with assistance
\n\u2022 Evaluate the content by identifying:
\n– recurring themes across works in print and media<\/p>\n

Standard 1: Students will read, write, listen, and speak for information and understanding.<\/p>\n

The sheer mass of information and variety of media formats challenge every learner to filter, accept, and\/or discard information and media message. The learner will identify and apply strategies to access, evaluate, use and communicate information for learning, decision-making and problem solving.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Each student will master communication and computation skills as a foundation to: comprehend written, spoken and visual presentations in various media.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Resource Management Students will understand and be able to manage their personal and community resources. Intermediate Level:<\/p>\n

Students will: analyze how media and technology influence the selection of health information, products and services<\/p>\n
