In 1998, I created\u00a0the\u00a0Media Literacy Clearinghouse<\/a> website because I wanted to offer K-12\u00a0educators (and others) an online venue for locating appropriate resources that\u00a0would help in the teaching of media literacy. Thousands of teachers have\u00a0discovered the resources offered there.\u00a0 Over time, the site has grown and\u00a0includes more original content since its inception.<\/p>\n

Since that time, the web has not only become larger, but also more interactive.\u00a0A large number of interactive, online websites and mobile device apps now offer teachers more\u00a0opportunities to engage students.\u00a0 What follows is a brief overview of some of\u00a0these:<\/p>\n

The website has been\u00a0designed to appeal to children aged 5-13 and will enable them to explore\u00a0animation, scripting, editing and sound effects.
