Original Newspaper Ads for TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD

To Kill A Mockingbird received its  8 Academy Award nominations on February 23, 1963, just days before these
ads appeared in newspapers.

The following three advertisements appeared in issues of
The State, The Columbia Record (South Carolina) on
February 27, February 28 (premiere) and March 1, 1963.

Ads (above and below) appeared in western editions of 
The New York Times. The film premiered in Los Angeles on 
December 25, 1962, in order to be eligible for the 1963 
Academy Awards voting.  The official premiere came at
NY Radio City Music Hall, February 14, 1963.
