OCTOBER
27 AAP UPDATES GUIDANCE TO HELP FAMILIES MAKE POSITIVE MEDIA CHOICES


16   I was a panelist this morning, the final day of the SC Association of Arts Educator's
conference.  The panel introduced the new VPA standards which include media literacy
for the first time. Thanks to those who attended my breakout session on Friday.

9  I enjoyed meeting many literacy educators at Concordia University
in Seward Nebraska at the annual Plum Creek Literacy Festival.  Thanks to all who
attended my media literacy workshops.

SEPTEMBER
23  I had a great time keynoting the SC Alliance for Arts Education conference and meeting lots
of visual and performing arts teachers.  Support documents and PowerPoint can be found here.
Thanks to all who completed the survey and evaluations. I look forward to working with many districts in the coming year.
