29  Video Game Report Card

28 Report: Students struggling with information literacy (eSchoolNews)

15-22 I just completed a week of travel and workshops. First: Upper Arlington HS outside Columbus OH--everyone was excited about the Ohio State-Michigan football game (my 3 point Buckeye win prediction came true). I was invited by the school library media specialists to conduct a workshop for faculty; a presentation for parents; and the highlight was the four periods I presented to students. The topics were: media & politics; body image and the culture of celebrity; war reporting and images of war.  Next: off to Nashville TN for the NCTE Commission on Media meetings; Last; back to Ohio, this time, just outside Cleveland, where I did a presentation for school library media specialists on media literacy.
