"Moments In Time," photojournalist Dirck Halstead makes this note
about this photo:
"Richard Nixon gives his victory sign to enthusiastic supporters at his last
campaign
rally in San Diego, California, on the eve of the 1968 election. Advance people
and
campaign workers made the posters for the crowd."

On
his website, he poses these questions for us to consider:
Notice the audience's signs and facial expressions--what is their relationship
to Nixon?
What does Nixon's body language tell you about him at this point during the
campaign?
