28  Food for Thought: Television Food Advertising to Children in

23 I am pleased that I have been named a
finalist in the Cable TV/PTA's national media literacy award.

13-16   All this week, I have been conducting workshops for K-12 educators
at South Carolina ETV (PBS). Their Teacher Tech Days allows teachers to take
a variety of workshops related to media and technology. My workshops are
designed to introduce media literacy; show its place in state standards;
offer teachers simple methods of integrating it into instruction.
