Learning To Be Media Savvy
Teachers know that they have to compete with
television, print media,
and the Internet for their students' attention. But they also realize that,
used correctly, these media can enhance student learning.
The Media Literacy Clearinghouse website at http://www.med.sc.edu:81/MEDIALIT
helps teachers and students learn to make critical and informed decisions
about what they see in the media.
The site contains links to information ranging from definitions of media
literacy
to ideas on where media education fits into the curriculum; from the purpose
and objectives of media literacy to lesson plans and other resources for the
classroom.
