Friday January 25: This is the night before SC voters go to the polls in the

Democratic Primary Election.  Sen. Hillary Clinton has changed her itinerary
at the last minute to attend the annual SC Democratic Party Stump meeting.
The other two candidates in the race, Senator Barack Obama, and former
Senator John Edwards, did not appear, as they were campaigning in other

parts of the state.

Satellite TV trucks lined up outside the Jamil Temple, site of the SC
Democratic Party Stump meeting. People can be seen in line, waiting to
enter the building in the background.

I did not see one journalist without a mobile phone or PDA, so that they
could text or check email messages.

CBS Radio News correspondent Peter Maer checks his

Blackberry prior to the arrival of Sen. Clinton.
After the event, he  recorded and selected "soundbites"

and recorded narration all of which was transmitted to
CBS Radio News headquarters in New York, where it could
become part of the news on the hour.

Senator Clinton takes the stage exactly at 6pm ET--just in time for local television newscasts
to carry her remarks LIVE.

A horde of local and national broadcast videographers are seen capturing the event.

When shooting from a long distance, this still photographer uses a telephoto lens to capture
candidate Hillary Clinton as she speaks at the SC Democratic Party Stump meeting.

A videographer from RAI (Italy) left, moves into position to video record
