Media Madness  An Insider's Guide to Media
Dominic Ali, Michael Cho, Kids Can Press ISBN: 1-55337-175-5
With lively illustrations, this 64 page book (aimed at 10-14 year olds) explores topics in television, music making, magazines, comic books, newspapers, video games & the net and more. (Read review)
My major complaints about this text are:
- there are no real life examples, like ads or photos, for students to relate to
- no reference to movies (kids' favorite thing to watch)
-the authors failed to provide links to other resources/websites for students to explore
- lots of facts and figures are provided at the bottom of the pages, but no attribution is provided
